Meet Pasha

What are your interests and hobbies?
Football, football and football - I don't have time for any other interests.

How long have you been coming to Lift?
Not long, only since November. My social worker told me about it and recommended I come.

What do you do at Lift?
I am in the Lift football team and we meet two or three times a week for training and playing matches. We do these at Whittington Park, Coram Fields and Market Road.

How has Lift helped you?
It has helped me to be happy. To be part of a team and I have made friends from this. Lift has helped me settle in to London and get better at English. I only had a few words when I came here from Ukraine in October.

What is the most important thing you have learnt at Lift?
Working hard and teamwork.

What is the most fun you have ever had?
Scoring goals - I have scored 15 or 16 so far.

What do you hope to be doing in three years’ time?
I would like to be a professional footballer and play for a premier league club. Arsenal is my top choice.

How is Lift helping you get there?
Nathan has helped me and made me feel welcome straight away.
