What are your interests and hobbies?
They keep changing - I like playing the piano, mountain biking and playing football. I love horse riding though I am not doing that at the moment.

How long have you been coming to Lift?
About one and a half years. My brother was coming to the gym here and told me there was cooking and stuff.

What do you do at Lift?
I come to the girls gym sessions, creative cooking, archery, and boxing. I did a project about entrepreneurship with Market Young Traders. I made and sold cakes at a Food and Health Festival in Chapel Market.

How has Lift helped you?
Lift helped me to get used to being in London - I had just moved from living in the countryside in Spain when I started coming here. It has given me lots of opportunities to try out different activities.

What is the most important thing you have learnt at Lift?
I have made friends - and learnt how to box!

What is the most fun you have ever had?
Making birthday cakes for members at Lift. Trying out different things in the Creative Kitchen and helping the younger children.

What would you say to a young person that has never been here before?
It is a very welcoming place that allows you to try lots of different activities. The youth workers push you to be your best.

What do you hope to be doing in three years’ time?
Studying at university or getting an apprenticeship. I keep changing my ideas about careers but what I would really like is to be a vet that specialises in horses.

How is Lift helping you get there?
The youth workers help me stay focused.
