What are your interests and hobbies?
I like games like FIFA, Call of Duty, Tekken and Yakuza. I also play football, guitar and love hosting podcasts.

How long have you been coming to Lift?
My friend brought me here back in 2019, so about four and a half years.

What do you do at Lift?
I do podcasting, gaming, and I took part in the Thriving Young Men project. I also go to the gym and have personal training sessions. I speak to the youth workers, especally Danny, and like to eat the food. I also did a Summerversity course in Sports leadership up at Finsbury park and two gaming tournaments. I won one of them.

How has Lift helped you?
You meet new people from doing the activities. I brought in my gaming laptop and it acted as an epi-centre for young people speaking and getting to know each other. I can do gaming at home but it is much better here, you are not alone and you can help each other out. People ask to join in or if they're afraid to ask then I'll invite them to play. Playing games can prepare for real life like learning strategy and tactics.

What is the most important thing you have learnt at Lift?
Confidence. Being able to manage problems by yourself but also knowing there is someone to help if you need, and you shouldn't be afraid to ask.

What is the most fun you have ever had?
I love gaming but I also like hosting podcasts. I can give my own views on a range of topics, it is about overcoming nerves and being able to waffle with confidence, its really cool.

What would you say to a young person that has never been here before?
There's always something to do at lift - gym, table tennis, outside spaces, a dance studio, a recording studio coming soon - limitless choices. But most time is spent socialising with other young people- time flies.

What do you hope to be doing in three years’ time?
Graduating with a degree in Sports Psychology, Coaching and Physical Education and working in this field.

How is Lift helping you get there?
I have been helping coaching the Lift Under 14s football team. I have learnt so much from this. We are about to start weekly training at the new pitch at Bernard Park.
