What is the youth programme?

How do I refer a young person to Lift?
There is no need to make a referral for general youth activities. Just turn up with the young person, or tell them to turn up themselves during open youth sessions on Monday, Wednesday or Fridays between 4-8pm.
Will they need to register?
All young people using Lift need to fill in registration form at their first visit. This can be done at reception.
What ages can come?
For the general youth sessions it is 13-21 years old (services below are different ages)
Do have specific programmes for young people who need additional support?
Yes, we have a Social Prescribing Team who can help young people with mild to moderate wellbeing concerns. More info and referral information here.
We also have an Emotional Wellbeing Team who help young people who are depressed, anxious or low. More info and referral info is here.
Can we sign up young people for counselling?
Not via Lift youth workers. These programmes have to be booked directly with the relevant organisation see Support Services for details of all the counselling services based here.
Do you do work experience?
Yes, but we are fully booked for 2026
Can I contact a youth worker?
Yes, but please check this website information first as our youth workers are normally busy on the front line. If you can't find the information you need email lift@isledon.co.uk
