Why choose me as your personal trainer?
I am a personal trainer with over 10 years experience. My philosophy on exercise, well-being and nutrition is a fairly simple one. The fitter and healthier you are and feel then the more able you are to grasp opportunities, embrace any changes and overcome challenges that life throws at you. My aim as a personal trainer/coach is to educate, motivate and empower you to meet your goals and surpass them.
I have developed a real passion for health and fitness and seeing my own body change for the better through tailored nutrition and exercise inspired me to want to help others achieve their own fitness goals. I am well aware that everyone is different and what works for one person will not necessarily work for the next which is why working with me, we will tailor an exercise and nutrition plan specifically for your goals and work towards achieving them in a fun yet challenging manner.
I believe that exercising should be goals-driven, fun, enjoyable, safe and effective for all levels of fitness.
Over the years I have progressed into the rehab side of fitness. I completed a cancer rehabilitation and exercise diploma for people who are currently or who have previously received treatment. I work to help reintroduce people back into social environments and aid them in participating in regular exercise, and building back self-esteem. I am currently working with people who have physical and/or mental health conditions and have been referred to me by GPs and hospitals for ongoing exercise and weight management. During the last two years I have been working with a non-verbal autistic client on a regular basis, devising activities to help increase his physical fitness and social awareness. I am also helping him to improve his motor skills.
As for my own personal physical fitness I am a keen sportsman, For as long as I can remember I have been doing team and individual sports such as football (my first passion) followed by tennis/badminton which I still do on a regular basis. As a coach I work on clients technique , balance, agility, coordination and specific movements.
